CBSE Board Result 2025: Class 10 and 12 Results Declaring Soon

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare Class 10 and 12 board exam results today. Although the board has not officially announced the specific date or time yet but the results are traditionally declared in mid of May following earlier in the past years. Upon declaration, candidates can view their marks on official websites: cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. CBSE has cautioned students against rumour and just follow updates through official channels.

In order to view their results, students will require roll number, admit card number, school code, and date of birth.

There is a change in the assessment process this year. From the 2024–25 session, CBSE has implemented a Relative Grading system. This is done with the intention to minimize stress and prevent unhealthy academic competition. Unlike the previous system, where grades were determined by fixed ranges of marks (e.g., 91–100 for A1), the new system compares students’ performance against their peers. Grades will now differ based on how well students perform relative to others in the same subject.

Over 42 lakh students wrote the CBSE board exams this year. Class 10 exams were over on March 18, and Class 12 exams were over on April 4.

In 2024, over 22.38 lakh students wrote the Class 10 exams, with a pass percentage of 93.60%. For Class 12, 16.21 lakh students wrote, and 14.26 lakh passed, with a pass percentage of 87.98%.
