During Operation Keller, the Indian Army kills three terrorists in Shopian.

The Indian Army killed three terrorists in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday in a major anti-terror operation. Operation Keller was initiated early on May 13, 2025, in response to intelligence reports indicating the existence of militants in the Shoekal Keller region. When the terrorists advanced on Shopian, the conflict intensified from its start in the neighboring Kulgam district. Security personnel quickly launched a cordon-and-search operation. The terrorists opened fire heavily as the troops drew closer, starting a bloody gunfight. “A search and destroy mission was initiated based on specific information provided by a Rashtriya Rifles unit. Three ardent terrorists were neutralized in the exchange of fire the Indian Army stated in a post on X.

The operation is still underway as forces continue combing the area for any remaining threats. The successful elimination of the terrorists marks another step in the ongoing efforts to curb militant activity in South Kashmir.
