June 1, 2025 | New York
The Indiana Pacers have punched their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years, delivering a stunning 125-108 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night.

Led by Pascal Siakam’s dominant 31-point performance and Tyrese Haliburton’s crafty 21 points and 13 assists, the Pacers outclassed the Knicks on both ends of the floor at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Siakam, who was later named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP, was relentless in transition and from mid-range, keeping the Knicks’ defense on its heels all night.
Bench Power & Team Depth Prove Crucial
Former Knick Obi Toppin chipped in 18 critical points off the bench, igniting the second unit with high-energy plays. The Pacers’ bench outscored New York’s reserves and played a key role in stretching the lead in the second half.
Indiana’s transition game was particularly lethal, outscoring the Knicks 25-10 on fast breaks. Their defensive pressure also forced 17 New York turnovers, many of which led to quick points on the other end.
Knicks’ Comeback Efforts Fall Short
Despite the loss, the Knicks had strong individual performances. OG Anunoby returned to the lineup and tallied 24 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jalen Brunson, the team’s playoff leader, scored 19 points but struggled with efficiency under Indiana’s aggressive defense.
New York’s dreams of reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 were dashed as they failed to find consistent offensive rhythm throughout the game.
What’s Next? NBA Finals Showdown Set
The Pacers will now face the Western Conference champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the 2025 NBA Finals. Game 1 is set to tip off Thursday night in Oklahoma City.
This is Indiana’s second Finals appearance in franchise history, and the city is already buzzing with anticipation. Can the Pacers bring home their first-ever NBA Championship?
