The initial reactions from NEET 2025 aspirants suggest that this year’s medical entrance exam leaned towards the tougher side, particularly in the Physics section. Based on feedback collected via a Google Form, many students shared their experiences and difficulty levels of the examination.
Several candidates expecting to score above 500 marks described the paper as “Moderate to Tough.” One such student mentioned leaving around 20 questions unanswered due to the difficulty level. Another student echoed similar sentiments, labeling the Physics section as “Tough,” noting that it included lengthy, calculation-heavy questions.
Physics emerged as the most challenging subject, with questions primarily focused on topics such as Centre of Mass & System of Particles, Rotational Motion, Electric Charges and Fields, Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance, and Ray Optics and Optical Instruments. The section was time-consuming and conceptually demanding, making it harder for many to complete on time.
In contrast, Chemistry and Biology received relatively milder reactions. Both subjects were generally rated as “Moderate” in terms of difficulty. Chemistry featured a balanced mix of organic and inorganic questions, which students found manageable. Biology, while conceptual, did not pose significant challenges for most candidates.
This year, a notable change in the exam format was observed. Unlike previous years where each subject had two sections (A and B), NEET 2025 featured a unified structure with 45 compulsory questions per subject. The exam maintained its marking scheme of +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect response.
Overall, aspirants felt that the NEET 2025 paper was concept-heavy rather than formula-based, with an emphasis on understanding rather than rote memorization. While challenging, particularly in Physics, the paper remained within reach for well-prepared students.
