Operation Herof 2.0 Baloch Liberation Army Launches Major Offensive with 7 Coordinated Attacks in Pakistan

In a significant escalation of the Baloch insurgency, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for a series of seven well-coordinated attacks across different districts in Pakistan. These assaults, launched under the banner of Operation Herof 2.0, are part of a wider campaign that the group claims includes 78 operations across 58 locations.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch described the attacks as a continuation of their resistance against what they allege is the Pakistani military’s occupation of Balochistan.

Highway Control and Security Post Attacks

One of the major actions occurred in the Khuzdar district, where BLA fighters reportedly took control of a highway near Ornach Cross for over two hours on Saturday night. The group claims they conducted vehicle inspections during this time, targeting those transporting natural resources out of Balochistan.

In another operation militants launched an armed assault on a military post in Nokabad, Panjgur. Using automatic weapons and rocket launchers BLA fighters reportedly engaged in a firefight lasting over 25 minutes resulting in the death of two Pakistani soldiers and injuries to at least five others.

IED Attacks and Intelligence Operations

The group also claimed responsibility for an IED blast in Kalat’s Garap area, targeting a Bomb Disposal Squad. Two security personnel were reportedly killed in that remote-detonated attack.

In one of the more controversial claims, the BLA announced that it had captured and killed four individuals allegedly working as undercover agents for Pakistani intelligence. Identified as residents of Pakpattan and Rahim Yar Khan, the men were reportedly detained on May 9 at a checkpoint in Ahmedwal and confessed to acting as informants.

Further Strikes in Sibi and Kachi

The BLA said it carried out smaller strikes in Sibi and Kachi districts as well. In Sibi, they reportedly threw a hand grenade at a military post near the railway station. In Mathri, Kachi, another attack allegedly left three soldiers injured during an armed assault.

“These operations are part of our broader strategy under Operation Herof. We are committed to continuing our resistance until the complete liberation of Balochistan is achieved,” the BLA spokesperson stated.

Ongoing Conflict and Previous Attacks

Earlier, the group had claimed responsibility for 71 attacks across 51 sites, timed to coincide with rising military tension between India and Pakistan. According to their past statements, more than 100 Pakistani military personnel have been killed since the launch of Operation Herof.

Official Silence

As of this report, there has been no official response or confirmation from the Pakistani authorities regarding the BLA’s claims. Independent verification of the incidents remains pending.
