In a thrilling encounter at the IPL 2025, Punjab Kings pulled off a dramatic 16-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders, defending the lowest total in the tournament’s history. The highlight of the match was Shreyas Iyer’s animated celebration after exacting revenge against his former team, KKR — a team he once captained.
Batting first, Punjab Kings were bundled out for a mere 111 in 15.5 overs, a total that seemed far too modest against a strong KKR batting lineup. However, what followed was nothing short of a miracle.

While Rahane and Raghuvanshi attempted to stabilize the innings, regular strikes from Punjab’s bowling unit never let them settle. Chahal’s timely breakthroughs proved decisive as wickets fell in quick succession, and KKR were bowled out for 95.
