Operation Sindoor: Indian Army Thwarts Pakistan’s Aggression Amid Rising Border Tensions

False Reports of S-400 Hit Debunked

Amid a rapidly intensifying military situation near the Line of Control (LoC), rumors circulated on social media early Saturday claiming that an Indian S-400 missile defense system had been struck by a Pakistani fighter jet. However, official sources have firmly denied these allegations, calling them “completely baseless.”

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that no such attack had taken place and reassured the public that all key installations, including the S-400 system, remain fully operational and intact.

Pakistani Drones Shot Down in Amritsar

Meanwhile, tensions escalated further as the Indian Army reported intercepting and destroying multiple Pakistani drones attempting to breach Indian airspace near Khasa Cantonment in Amritsar. The drones, reportedly armed and likely targeting strategic assets, were neutralized by Indian defense systems before they could cause any damage.

The Army released visuals of the drone debris, underlining the scale of the threat and the preparedness of Indian forces. The prompt response is being hailed as a major success under the ongoing military operation dubbed ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Escalation at the Western Border

According to senior military officials, Pakistan’s actions are part of a broader pattern of “provocative military behavior,” including repeated drone incursions and minor artillery shelling along the LoC. Indian defense forces remain on high alert across Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, and Punjab sectors.

Explosions were also reported near the LoC early Saturday, triggering a red alert in border villages. Civilian evacuations have begun in some areas as a precautionary measure.

India’s Response: Strategic and Controlled

Operation Sindoor, initiated by India in response to mounting hostilities, is being carried out with a dual focus — neutralizing active threats and avoiding full-scale conflict. The Army’s statement emphasized India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty while maintaining restraint to prevent unnecessary escalation.

Appeal for Calm and Vigilance

The government has urged citizens to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified news. A senior official from the Ministry of Home Affairs added, “We are closely monitoring the situation. Any attempts to create panic through misinformation will be dealt with under strict cyber laws.”
